Viridor is a leading UK resource recovery, recycling and renewable energy business. AB got a call in March 2015 to put together Viridor’s 2015 Sustainability Report with an emphasis on making it as easy as possible for the multiple audiences (staff, clients and stakeholders) to engage with the content. In the past we had worked together on corporate reporting, B2B activity and internal communication projects.
We agreed that the focus of the report would be a bespoke, responsive website with nine films supported with a 14-page A5 Summary Report and emailer. In previous years Viridor’s Sustainability Report had been a 60+ page printed report but this year’s was promoted primarily online. This is important for a number of reasons; firstly, the key audiences prefer to consume the information online, and secondly, it’s more sustainable (‘walking the walk’).
AB’s involvement included strategy and copywriting, creative design (print, online, film), infographic generation, print, fulfilment, filming (London, Manchester, Taunton), email and end-to-end campaign management. We also worked within (and challenged) strict brand guidelines
The report was launched on 8 September 2015 to very positive feedback and ambitions to build on this in 2016. The cross-platform nature of the project was a first for Viridor’s corporate reporting and demonstrated AB’s ability to work quickly and produce great work.
